It all started with Christine.

In 2015, a doctor's visit pushed our founder, Christine, to take her health seriously, so she could be there for her kids. She started cooking her own meals and sharing the journey out loud. People started asking if she'd cook for them too.
What began on a small stove and a backyard BBQ in her apartment outgrew the space almost immediately. It moved into a shared commercial kitchen, then into a compliant facility she built from the ground up. No investor handed her a playbook, just years of early mornings and a stubborn refusal to cut corners as the orders multiplied. Today that same kitchen feeds thousands of Southern California households every single week.
A workplace food program lives or dies on whether someone reliably shows up, every week, with food people actually want to eat. That's a very different promise from a local kitchen than from an app.

The same kitchen, now built for the workplace, feeding Inland Empire teams three different ways.

The standard started with Christine. The mission keeps growing.
What Christine built more than a decade ago has grown into a local food service company trusted across Southern California. As My Healthy Penguin reaches more people, more workplaces, and more communities, her standard remains at the center of it all: real food, consistent quality, and service people can rely on.
The name came from Christine's kids, a reminder that this all started as a way to be healthier for the people she loves. That home-cooked feeling is still the bar every meal has to clear, whether it is headed to a family's fridge or a company break room. Good food, made by people who care, for people you care about. It is a little warmer than what most food vendors are selling, and that is on purpose.

We built MHP Food Service, the workplace arm of My Healthy Penguin. Same kitchen, same standards, now sized for teams. We bring three formats to Inland Empire workplaces so food just shows up, no matter how your team works.
